Pengaruh Pembelajaran Kooperatif Jigsaw Terhadap Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis Pada Siswa Kelas III SDN 16 Landau Siling

Abstract: This study aimed to determine the effect of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model on the mathematical communication skills of third-grade students at SDN 16 Landau Siling. The research was motivated by students’ low mathematical communication skills, particularly their lack of confidence in expressing mathematical ideas both orally and in writing. This study employed a quantitative approach with an experimental method using a one-group pretest–posttest design. The population consisted of all 18 third-grade students at SDN 16 Landau Siling, selected using a saturated sampling technique. The instrument used was a questionnaire measuring mathematical communication skills. Data were analyzed using the Method of Successive Interval (MSI), the Shapiro–Wilk normality test, and a paired sample t-test. The results showed that the average pretest score was 67.72, while the average posttest score was 78.66. The normality test indicated that the data were normally distributed. The paired sample t-test yielded a sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.004 < 0.05, indicating that Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Jigsaw cooperative learning model has a significant effect on students’ mathematical communication skills.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas III SDN 16 Landau Siling. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa, seperti kurangnya keberanian dalam menyampaikan ide-ide matematika baik secara lisan maupun tertulis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian eksperimen menggunakan desain one group pretest–posttest. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas III SDN 16 Landau Siling yang berjumlah 18 orang, dengan teknik sampling jenuh. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket kemampuan komunikasi matematis. Analisis data dilakukan melalui transformasi Method of Successive Interval (MSI), uji normalitas Shapiro–Wilk, dan uji hipotesis menggunakan paired sample t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa skor rata-rata pretest sebesar 67,72 dan skor rata-rata posttest sebesar 78,66. Hasil uji normalitas menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal. Hasil uji paired sample t-test menunjukkan nilai sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,004 < 0,05, sehingga Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa kelas III SDN 16 Landau Siling.
