PERAN ORANG TUA DALAM MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA SD NEGERI 22 MUARA TANJUNG

Abstract


Abstract: This study aims to determine the role of parents in students’ learning movivation and
the obstacles experienced by parets in learnibg motivation of students at SD Negeri 22 Muara
Tanjung. The subjects in this study were parents, students, teachers of SD Negeri 22 Muara
Tanjung. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection
techniques in this study using non-test, namely: interviews. The procedur in the research
includes the research prepaparation stage, the implementation stage, and the final stageof the
research. The validity of the data in study used source triangulation. The rulets showed that
the role of parents in students’ learning motivations to be more focused and enthusiastic for
children to learn with motivations, facilitators, and mediators is that parents play an important
role in providing encouragement to learn in improving skill and knowledge. Parents must be
able to be a motivator in children’s learning by guiding children to learn and creating a
comfortable learn. Parents act as mediarors. While the abstacles to the role of parents in
children’s learning motivarion are because parents work more, carry out learning is still
lacking, and lack of supervision of children.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengertahui peran orang tua dalam motivasi belajar
siswa dan hambatan yang dialami orang tau dalam motivasi belajar siswa SD Negeri 22 Muara
Tanjung. Subjek dalam penlitian iniadalah orang tua siswa, guru SD Negeri 22 Muara Tanjung.
Penellitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan study kasus. Teknik
pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan non tes yaitu: Wawancara. Prosedur
dalam penelitian meliputi tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, tahap akhir penelitian.
Keabsahan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan triagulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian
diketahui peran orang tua dalam motivasi belajar dengan motivator, fasilitator, dan mediator
adalah orang tua berperan penting dalam memberikan dorongan belajar dalam meningkatkan
keterampilan dan pengetahuan. Orang tua harus mempu menjadi motivator dalam belajar anak
dengan membimbing anak belajar dan menciptakan suasana nyaman bagi anak. Orang tua
berperan memberikan fasilitas untuk anak belajar. Orang tua berperan sebagai mediator.
Sedangkan hambatan peran orang tua dalam motivasi belajar anak dikarenakan orang tua lebih
banyak bekerja, dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran masih kurang, serta kurangnya
pengawasan terhadap anak.
