INTEGRASI INDIGENOUS KNOWLEDGE MELALUI ETHNOBOTANY DAN ETHNOECOLOGY TANAMAN LOKAL KASEPUHAN CIPTAGELAR DALAM PEMBELAJARAN IPAS di SD
Abstract
Abstract: One of the Sunda indigenous communities is Kasepuhan Ciptagelar, which is situated in Sukabumi Regency, West Java Province. This community has a long-standing traditional system, one of which is self-sufficiency in food. By planting rice to preserve it, this is done in order to be able to provide for household necessities. This is inextricably linked to conventional rice management routines. The community's capacity for survival, growth, and sustainability is a result of this indigenous knowledge. This can be material for the development of science learning in elementary schools on the basis of local wisdom through ethnobotany and ethnoecology learning. This research method uses a qualitative approach with an ethnographic design. Participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation were used as data gathering methods. The study's findings demonstrate that Kasepuhan Ciptagelar's special feature is its custom of commemorating its rice crops, such as ngaseuk, mipit, nganyaran, ponggokan, and serentaun during a single growth cycle. With the value of indigenous knowledge, it can be implemented through learning science in elementary schools, especially for local science through ethnobotany and ethnoecology lessons.

Abstrak: Kasepuhan Ciptagelar adalah salah satu penduduk asli negara Sunda dan tinggal di Kabupaten Sukabumi di provinsi Jawa Barat. Desa ini memiliki sistem tradisional yang bertahan turun temurun, salah satunya swasembada pangan. Cara yang dilakukan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hidup keluarga dengan menanam padi untuk menyelamatkannya. Hal ini tidak terlepas dari ritual adat bercocok tanam padi. Kearifan lokal inilah yang memungkinkan masyarakat dapat bertahan hidup, berkembang dan berkelanjutan (sustainable development). Hal ini dapat menjadi bahan pengembangan pembelajaran IPAS di SD dengan basis kearifan lokal melalui pembelajaran etnobotani dan etnoekologi. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain etnografi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi partisipatif, wawancara semi terstruktur, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ciri-ciri Kasepuhan Ciptagelar antara lain tradisi menghormati hasil produksi negara berupa beras: ngaseuk, mipit, nganyaran, ponggokan dan Serentaun dalam satu musim tanam. Dengan nilai indigenous knowledge tersebut dapat diimplementasikan melalui pembelajara IPAS di SD khusunya untuk science lokal melalui pembelajaran etnobotani dan etnoekologi.
