UPAYA PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR ILMU PENGETAHUAN SOSIAL (IPS) MENGGUNAKAN METODE DEMONSTRASI PADA SISWA KELAS IV SDN 01 RASAU JAYA

Abstract: This research aims to (1) determine the improvement in the quality of social studies learning using the demonstration method for class IV students at SD Negeri 01 Rasau Jaya. (2) determine the increase in social studies learning outcomes using the demonstration method for class IV students at SDN 01 Rasau Jaya. This research is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The test subjects in this research were Class IV 14 students. This research carried out research procedures using two research cycles, namely cycle I and cycle II. The data analysis technique used is (1) assessing formative tests. (2) assessing learning completeness. (3) assessing the completeness of the learning process. The conclusions in this research are 1) Learning by demonstration has a positive impact in improving student learning achievement which is marked by an increase in student learning completeness in each cycle, namely pre-cycle with a score of 62 in the incomplete category, cycle I with a score of 71, 67 in the incomplete category, and cycle II with a score of 88.57 in the complete category. (2) Learning outcomes in pre-cycle, cycle I and cycle II have increased. Keywords: Learning Outcomes, Social Sciences, Demonstration Methods

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran IPS menggunakan metode demonstrasi pada siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 01 Rasau Jaya. (2) mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar IPS menggunakan metode demostrasi pada siswa kelas IV SDN 01 Rasau Jaya. Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek ujicoba dalam penelitian ini Kelas IV sejumlah 14 siswa. Penelitian ini melaksanakan prosedur penelitian dengan menggunakan dua siklus penelitian yakni siklus I dan siklus II. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah (1) menilai tes formatif. (2) menilai ketuntasan belajar. (3) menilai ketuntasan proses pembelajaran. Kesimpulan dalam Penelitian ini adalah 1) Pembelajaran dengan demonstrasi memiliki dampak positif dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa yang ditandai dengan peningkatan ketuntasan belajar siswa dalam setiap siklus, yaitu prasiklus dengan skor 62 kategori belum tuntas, siklus I dengan skor 71, 67 kategori belum tuntas, dan siklus II dengan skor 88,57 kategori tuntas. (2) Hasil belajar pada prasiklus, siklus I dan siklus II mengalami peningkatan.
