Abstract

This study aims to map the misconceptions of physics students on high school level Newton's Law material and its diagnostic instruments. This study uses a literature review method. The results found in this study. The three-tier diagnostic test is more valid and reliable in knowing students' misconceptions than the two-tier diagnostic test. Meanwhile, the four tier diagnostic test is more effective and accurate than the three tier diagnostic test and is more reliable for identifying students' conceptual understanding
