Kata Kunci: Game-Based Learning; permainan kartu; konsep perkalian; pembelajaran matematika.
Abstract: This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of Game-Based Learning using card games to strengthen students’ understanding of multiplication concepts in probability learning. A quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design was employed involving 15 tenth-grade social science students at MA Zainal Arifin. Data were collected through tests, observations, and questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive statistics, the paired sample t-test, and N-Gain analysis. The results showed that the mean score increased from 52.67 on the pretest to 76.73 on the posttest, with an average N-Gain of 0.531 (moderate category). The paired sample t-test indicated a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores (p < 0.001). These findings indicate that Game-Based Learning using card games is effective in strengthening students’ understanding of multiplication concepts in probability learning.
